Public figures such as actors, politicians athletes should expect people to be interested in their private life, but to a limit decided by themselves

actors, politicians, athletes and all such people are the achievers of luminary position in the world today. people lionize them as they have attained their position after assiduous work in their respective realms. these are the dream roles for many of us. people are always attracted towards the lives of such celebrities and are curious to know the secrets of their achievements. in an attempt to find the mysteries, they peep into the personal lives of their role models. but every human has the right to privacy. publicity does play a vital role in applauding their success, still, we should not expect them to lose their privacy as they are humans as us, and they too deserve to enjoy all the rights that we take for granted.
generally, people are concerned with the private lives of public figures for one of the following reasons: to show their affection and solidarity, to criticize their actions or policies or to use a basis for comparison and to satisfy their lurid curiosity. certain people feel important by associating themselves with public figures of their interest while others achieve the same by heaping castigation and calumny upon celebrities. also morbid curiosity is inherent in most humans and this is manifested in the practice of delving into the personal lives of public figures.
a political leader should not be trialed to criticism for his private matters. strong hold on power and public morality are the basic requirements of a good political leader. former American president Bil Clinton's extra marital affair struck the headlines every now & then. but it never intersected with his political career. world has witnessed his efficient leadership and as the president himself said-"presidents too have personal lives".
actors and athletes are the most ovated public figures by the crowd. people tend to dig out the inner cores of their lives. they are most concerned in observing their mundane activities & their everyday life. such people reach their levels of achievement through extraordinary amounts of hard work. it is only they who are responsible for their success, hence they reserve the right to decide the level of publicity. American pop star Britney S got divorced the next ady of her wedding. if the law allows her to do so, then who is media to condemn her actions.
media contributes massively towards the increase in curiosity among the mob. it uses the fact that people are always attracted towards what is uncommon and extraordinary. in return, they earn monetary benefits. many a times, this overpowering interference of media in personal lives of celebrities proves brutal and inhuman. capturing photographs of princess Diana after her accident when the lady is lying fatally injured, relaying live telecasts of the funerals of celebrities on television, taking pictures of actresses in as obscene position as possible & many more.
media should realize its duty that is to provide authentic information and should take up moral responsibility of action that malign the interests and hurt the sentiments of public figures. also it is we who provoke media to play with their privacy, hence we should curb our undesirable curiosity and should remember that one's privacy should be respected and any information that can be let out should be done only at his or her discretion.
